Embracing Longer Days and Preparing for Allergies

As the days get longer and warmer, and flowers start to bloom, we welcome the arrival of spring. At BeeHive Homes Assisted Living, we’re excited for this new season and all the joys it brings, but we also want to remind everyone to take care of themselves during this time by embracing longer days and preparing for allergies.

One of the biggest benefits of spring is the longer daylight hours. Studies have shown that exposure to sunlight can boost our mood, help regulate our sleep patterns, and even improve our immune systems. At BeeHive Homes, we encourage our residents to spend time outside, enjoying the fresh air and soaking up some vitamin D.

However, with spring comes the possibility of allergies. Many people experience seasonal allergies during this time of year, due to pollen and other allergens in the air. Symptoms can include sneezing, itchy eyes, and congestion. If you or a loved one are experiencing allergies, we encourage you to speak with a healthcare professional for advice on how to manage symptoms.
